Ranking Power
BACK TO HOMEHow Ranking Scores Are Given To Sites on MrPornGeek
Alright, here’s how it works - every site that gets listed on MrPornGeek gets what I call a Rank Score.
It’s a quick snapshot of how hot a site is right now - who’s visiting, clicking, rating, and engaging with it.
The Rank Score helps organise listings based on activity, engagement, visibility and momentum.
Now, I don’t reveal the full recipe behind the algorithm for how I rank sites (MrPornGeek’s gotta keep a few secrets), but here’s what I can tell you moves the needle:
💰 Traffic & Activity
💠 Real visitors actually checking out your review or listing
💠 Returning traffic - if people keep coming back, that’s a big green flag
💠 Click-throughs, engagement, and time on page for your review
💠 Consistent action - not just a one day spike and ghost town the next
Reputation & Trust
🛡️ Well maintained site with ongoing updates
🛡️ Solid history - established and trusted
🛡️ Recognised by fans within its niche
🛡️ Site authority, backlinks, and a few other behind the scenes metrics
🛡️ Maintains strong google search presence despite heavy competition
🛡️ A solid website backed by a trustworthy team
🔍 How We De Rank Site Scores
🚫 Content that’s just a mirror of someone else’s - no originality, no value.
🚫 Load times so slow you could make yourself a coffee and come back before it finishes loading.
🚫 If we can’t reach you, whether it’s us getting no reply or users reporting unanswered support requests, then congrats, you’ve just ghosted your way down the rankings.
🚫 Design that belongs in a time capsule - if it looked outdated in 2001, it still does now.
🚫 If your site’s full of broken thumbs, stretched images, and dead links, congratulations - you’ve just invented the anti boner.
🚫 A reputation that’s sketchy or unknown - if users don’t trust it, neither do we.
💡 About Boosted Exposure
Some listings use Boost features to increase temporary visibility across the site. Boosting improves how prominently a listing is shown, but does not affect editorial reviews, ratings, or whether a site is included. All boosted placements are clearly marked with a Boost icon and score, so users can easily distinguish boosted visibility from organic rankings.
