BDSM: Mr. Porn Geek’s review

Today, I’m going to be heading on over to /r/BDSM so that I can give you my thoughts, feelings and opinion on this place. Last time I was here, I felt that the community had a few issues and yeah – I’m interested to know whether or not those still exist. There are literally hundreds of NSFW subreddits out there, so don’t think for a second that I’m going to sit here and allow a sub-par place to just get a good rating without actually being good! Anyway, enough faffing around: let’s head on over to /r/BDSM and see what the deal is.

First thoughts on BDSM

This subreddit was created way back in June of 2008 – it’s been a long time for this community! I think there are only around a dozen or so larger NSFW places on Reddit that actually came before this one and are still somewhat active, so I guess that’s at least a decent sign of what /r/BDSM has managed to do over the years. Now if we look at the subscriber count, you’ll see that there are 220,000 followers here – that puts it somewhere in the top 150 most read communities on Reddit. When we hit the ‘new’ tab, you’ll see that /r/BDSM receives around 50 posts on a daily basis. Quite active to say the very least – it’s also more active than the first time I visited!

Our next step is to actually look at the content here, so let’s sort the last months’ worth of links based on their upvote count to see what the patrons of /r/BDSM enjoy the most. One annoying thing about /r/BDSM is the fact that they don’t have previews on by default – this is the only subreddit in the NSFW space I’ve come across that his this particular setting: it’s not the end of the world, but it does suck at least to some degree. Anyway, almost all of the top posts come from users on the website, so if you’re someone that enjoys BDSM and you want it to be amateur, this is where you ought to go. I’m a little disappointed there aren’t more clips here, but I did find a few that were worth sharing: like this one. Who doesn’t love a slut having forced orgasms?

The final verdict on /r/BDSM

This place has gotten a lot better since I was last here, so I’m actually quite pleased to go ahead and recommend /r/BDSM: you’ll never find a better spot for mature content on Reddit where bondage and domination is concerned! I do wish that they enabled content previews in their settings and had a few more clips, but the current setup is fine and the original content is quite enjoyable to look at.
