Playing Divine Arms for real

When the game is finally ready to be played, you’ll bump into a pink-haired, busty vixen by the name of Mahalai. She tells you how you’ve been missed and tells you that she hopes you like her new outfit – the developer doesn’t seem to mind breaking the fourth wall, which I’m not going to complain about because hey, it’s an anime porn game that I’m jerking off while playing.

Your first task here will be to purify a crystal, which will take you into the main game screen where you can set about having your adventure. Siggy is a little confused as to where you are at first, but Mahalai fills her in and you’ll be on your way in no time at all. There is actually quite a lot to read here, but I do recommend that if this is your first play through that you digest as much information as possible. You don’t want to be behind the story here – it’ll make playing quite a bit boring.

You move around using a standard WASD method and have to use the F key in order to do various activities (if you’ve ever pressed F to pay respects, you’ll know what I’m talking about). One big thing to remember when playing Divine Arms is the fact that you can move while shooting, so get used to mashing your left-click as various enemies try to take you down and you evade them with WASD. You’ll soon find that Siggy ends up naked and well, I guess that’s where the hentai element of this particular adult game comes into focus.

My thoughts on the art style of Divine Arms

I went ahead and continued to play here for around 30 minutes: I do quite like the artwork, but I feel that part of the erotic experience is actually dictated by the text. Sure, you’ll get that classic anime naked goodness, but don’t expect it to match Bible Black in terms of Japanese animated erotic entertainment. This is a game after all, so there’s much more than just the smut. Still, I think that most weebs out there will be squeezing their hog to what Divine Arms has to offer: this is one great game when it comes to artistic direction and design.

Some final thoughts on Divine Arms

Divine Arms really isn’t an easy game, and I think that for people who are just looking to hog squeeze without much difficulty, you may run into issues on Divine Arms: the name quite accurately lets you know that you’ll need both of your hands in order to enjoy the gameplay here, so don’t go thinking that you can hold onto your cock while gaming: good luck with that! I had a few issues with low frame rates, but that seemed to resolve itself after alt + tabbing: it might not be an official fix, but it works!

So, how good is Divine Arms at the end of the day? I had a lot of fun here, and I have no doubt that you will too with this game. It seems that there is an awful lot going on and you can go in practically any direction you want – the game does try to trick you and that can frustrate a lot of people, but me personally? I liked it! Divine Arms is a more complex adult game, so be careful with this one: it might take you a while to get the hang of it. As far as hentai games go though, it’s a killer title.
