When you load up Anna: Exciting Affection for the first time, you’ll be presented with a pretty standard splash screen that reveals a great preview image of who I expect to be Anna, the ability to play a new game or load a save and finally, the options associated with the title. I suppose I should mention at this point that Mr. Porn Geek is playing version 1.6 – new updates may be released in the future and I’ll be sure to replace my link so you’re only getting the very latest ones on your computer. I first decided to check out the options: this is generally a good place to start if you ask me. You’ve only got a few options here though – the ability for auto-dash, command remember (similar to how it used to work in Final Fantasy VII) and then 4 different volume controls. Small complaint here: the different types of sounds are shown with initialisms, which are BGM, BGS, ME and SE. I don’t know what all of these do and the screen is big enough to use the full words – so why wouldn’t you do that? I know this seems like a minor issue, but just a little more polish would be real useful. Okay, now let’s hit the ‘new game’ button and start actually playing Anna: Exciting Affection.

So after selecting the new game tab, Mr. Porn Geek was taken through to the very first scene of Anna: Exciting Affection. This busty, curvy broad is shown in front of you wearing a sexy outfit with strolling luggage handle in her hand: you’re given a small backstory on the broad. You’re told that Anna is set to work at a coffee shop after doing well in an interview – she’s hoping that the new boss will be favorable toward her. Let me tell you ahead of time: if I had an employee with melons like this, you better believe that she’d be getting more than her fair share of employer support!

After the initial scene, Anna: Exciting Affection then turns into a completely different style of game. It becomes this top-down, almost 2D title that reminds me of the original Pokémon titles for the Game Boy. You can choose to move around with your keyboard arrows or with clicking on the mouse: one major problem I have is the fact that I can’t use WASD! I mean, in the modern era, everyone who’s ever played a serious video game knows about controlling using the left-hand side of the keyboard, right? So why is it so damn hard to program that for a modern title? Again: this is a small feature that I’d like, but I just feel it’s what takes good games into the great category.

Anna: Exciting Affection and the sister

You’ll soon bump into your sister – Rebecca. She’s similar to Anna in the fact that she’s also got a great body and is real curvy: must be something that runs in the family. Once you’re done talking to her, go ahead and venture over to the bathroom – you’ve got to get clean before you can eat some of that tasty food that your sibling has made for you, right? When Anna gets into the shower, this is the very first experience you’ll have with the nudity in Anna: Exciting Affection. Turns out that her body looks even better when she’s not wearing clothes – that nice pussy bush is the exact thing I like to see on my screen!

Once the shower is done, Anna bumps into Carl: this is the first male character you’ll come across and yeah – turns out that Anna doesn’t wear the most covering of post-shower attire. You’ll also be able to make your first decision on whether you should run off to your bedroom or stay and talk. Since we’re playing a porn game here, Mr. Porn Geek had no choice but to stay and talk – Carl didn’t seem to mind!

What I disliked about Anna: Exciting Affection

I do just want to mention a few negatives here before wrapping up. Firstly, in between a few of the cutscenes, you end up having this weird transition to the 2D game style which is then interrupted again by the following cutscene – I’d like for that to be polished slightly. I also noticed that when left-clicking, the game doesn’t route you via any intelligent method to your chosen cell: it just tries to take you from point A to point B without thinking about doors or walls. Slightly better AI would make Anna: Exciting Affection a hell of a lot better if you ask me.

Okay, so what are my final thoughts when it comes to Anna: Exciting Affection? Overall, I did enjoy this game and I liked how content-rich it was. I ended up playing for around an hour and to be honest, I have no idea just how far I managed to get into the title. I do recommend reading all of the text boxes too – they add a lot of context for the erotic stuff and yeah, it just makes the whole experience that much better.
