Future Fragments – what an interesting name for a porn game, right? Well actually: it’s not that interesting at all. Set in the year 1,000 AD, you’ll find yourself in a kingdom where sex is outlawed and it’s your job to bring sexual pleasure to the masses in any way you see fit. An interesting idea and one that I’m sure to enjoy as I play through it, but let’s not be hasty – I still have to determine whether or not Future Fragments lives up to expectations! I’ve heard some good things and I’ve heard some bad things, so my only option is to try it out for myself and see what the deal is. Want to come along for the ride? Future Fragments: the admin side

I do want to state for the record that I’m playing version 0.27F here – Future Fragments has lots of previous releases but I’ll focus on the latest one for the convenience of everyone at home. Playing Future Fragments

Once you’re done reading the splash screen, hit the Z button on your keyboard to continue through to the thank-you message and a little bit of additional focus on what the game is about. You’ll then have to hit Z again, and again, before the game begins. A low-resolution cinematic will boot up with has some text explaining the origins of the story and why you find yourself in the position that you’re currently in. What’s slightly strange to me is that the text looks great, but the images on the screen – well let’s just say that they’re incredibly low in the resolution department.

Smash the ‘New Game’ button and you’ll have the choice of normal or easy – since I’m a hardcore gamer, I’m going for the normal option. Again, selection here is done using the Z key: at which point the first room will load up and you’ll finally be able to play. Future Fragments is a side scroller – I love games like this! Anyone who’s played titles like Super Mario, Double Dragon, Shovel Knight and associated games will know exactly what they’re in for here. Future Fragments also has a really decent quality rendering if I’m completely honest with you – I can’t work out why the intro was so scuffed when the final product looks incredibly polished.

The Future Fragments tutorial explained

I don’t think I need to say too much here, since tutorials are basically self-explanatory, but I do want to say that I’m a big fan of the fact that Future Fragments utilizes a pretty high quality voice over from someone called Vie to explain what’s going on. I’m less impressed that the advancement key has now shifted from Z to X though – that just doesn’t make any sense to me! You’ll soon learn that you’re a character called Talia and yup – you can talk too! Both of the voice actresses sound real good and yeah, it just adds that extra layer of quality to an already gorgeous adult game.

One recommendation I’ll make is hitting escape as soon as you get control of your character and then heading on over to the settings screen so you can see all of the options you have available to you. You can actually lose a gamepad for Future Fragments which is pretty cool, but if you want to remap anything, simply hover over it and enter your new input. I personally figured it was better for me to control my character using WASD instead of the arrow keys – in fact, I’m not sure why they went down the road of using that silly cluster when anyone who’s played video games knows that the WASD method is far superior. Future Fragments is a really great game, but they need to work on a few small things before they become a great choice!

My further gameplay thoughts on Future Fragments

To get a good idea of the game, Mr. Porn Geek decided to play Future Fragments for around 15 minutes. I usually spend longer on the games that I play to give you a comprehensive analysis, but I’m comfortable after this period of time to go ahead and recommend you try Future Fragments out for yourself. I’ve reviewed hundreds of XXX games over the last year and let me tell you, only a few come close to rivaling what Future Fragments has to offer. The polish here is amazing, plus the voice acting is a unique touch that I’ll never get bored of. I’ll also mention that this game hasn’t fully been released yet either – that’s a good sign!

Conclusion on Future Fragments

So, what’s the final verdict here? I haven’t played too many side scrolling platform games that are porn focused, so I’ve got to give credit here: these dudes are really trying something new and it’s refreshing to see. The overall design and layout of the game is 90% of the way there – the graphics are some of the best I’ve seen too. So yeah, when all is said and done, Mr. Porn Geek is happy to give Future Fragments his official seal of approval.
