Virtual Date With Jessica: Mr. Porn Geek’s review

I don’t think Mr. Porn Geek has ever been on a virtual date before, but today he’s going to be engaging in one with a chick called Jessica. At least that’s what I gather, since the game I’m going to be writing about here is called Virtual Date With Jessica. I’ll just let you know ahead of time that I haven’t had any experience with this title before and I’m going in blind – it was recommended by a reader and I said I’d put it online as soon as it was done! This could be bad or it could be great: the only way to find out is a full review, so let’s do that and see what VDWJ brings to the table.

First thoughts on Virtual Date With Jessica

The game starts up with you looking at the silhouette of a sexy, relatively petite babe that you click on in order to transition through to the main game window. Unlike a lot of other adult games I’ve reviewed in the past, Virtual Date With Jessica doesn’t actually have any options screen or ability to load a previously played version of the title – you just go in raw and that’s that. Jessica will introduce herself to you in a house of some kind and from what I can piece together; you’ve never actually met before. I don’t know about Jessica’s policy of spending time with strangers, but I guess if that’s what she’s into, all the more power to her! The place looks pretty fancy too: someone has been spending a decent chunk of change on top quality furniture.

A lot of the gameplay here is focused around decision making in the dialog box. The very first choice you make is out of 3 options – two of them compliment Jessica, whereas the other just continues on with the rest of the conversation. Since this is a saucy game, I decided it was best to describe Jessica as being beautiful: women love that type of thing, right? Sadly, the game didn’t give me any positive feedback for my compliment and Jessica decides to just go on and ask what you want to do. Figuring I’d play it cool, ‘Show me around’ seemed like the best option available. You can opt to go to the toilet or get suggestions from Jessica, but you want to take control every once in a while with a chick – don’t let her calls the shots all the damn time!

The outcomes of choices at Virtual Date With Jessica

The scene will transition quickly to a new angle and pose for Jessica as she takes you through to her bedroom. Surprisingly enough, she turns things a little erotic from the get go, explaining to you that this is ‘the place where I do things’. You can’t play it cool here though: only option I had available was to ask her what type of things. Seems she blows you off after that though and just ends up saying ‘lots of stuff’. I don’t get Jessica’s deal, man! Is she down to fuck, or what? Just let me know what’s going on in that head of yours so I can get a good idea of how I should approach talking to you. On the one hand I feel like you want it to be all sexual and erotic, on the other – it just comes across like you’re not interested in the slightest!

You’ll eventually leave Jessica’s place and come to a city screen – there are lots of spots that you can click on that’ll take you to different parts of the area you’re in. We’re talking the shopping mall, a strip club, back to your place and a random park too. Click on them and your date will progress – just don’t try to push anything since Jessica is always going to turn around and say that she’s not interested and wants to take it slowly. It turns out that the strip club was where I got my lucky break: I don’t know if this means that Jessica is a lesbian, but I suggested that she do some dancing and although she wasn’t keen to get naked, it was still fine for her to jump up on the stage and get down to business. Be sure to have some drinks after: women are always a little easier to have fun with if you get them tipsy first. It’s because of the implication.

What I disliked about Virtual Date With Jessica

Balancing out my praise with some criticism is always something that Mr. Porn Geek likes to do, so let me talk you through a few things here that I’m not too keen on. First of all, the text is in yellow and some pretty ugly font – this should be better designed and made a bit bigger, too. I think it’s also worth mentioning that Virtual Date With Jessica has awful controls when it comes to the main city map. I mean, there’s no clear outline of what’s available to be selected or even what all of the random locations are. Clarity is something that many modern games must have – VDWJ needs small improvements here for me to be jumping around with happiness. These aren’t serious issues and I get that the game isn’t supposed to be all that fleshed out, but yeah – clear improvements available to be made!

Virtual Date With Jessica: Mr. Porn Geek’s conclusion

This game isn’t the biggest out there and while the polish isn’t perfect, I still think it’s quite good if you’re looking for something that’s quick and easy to play. I’ve always been into Asian girls and something about Jessica suggests that she’s just a little bit Oriental – perhaps a mix! This is quite clearly a dated title and I think for many, that’s a selling point, since they want to relive those days of playing rude games when they were much younger and real horny teenagers.
