PixIv is a fantastic website. I don’t think I can stretch my imagination enough to call this a porn site just yet, but it’s still worth checking out if you are a horny little freak like myself. While PixIv probably isn’t really considered a site, it is still full of amazing hentai artwork that will give ya a nice little hard on if you are into drawings of schoolgirls and whatever else hentai artwork contains.

If you’ve read any of my other site reviews, you’ll know that I ain’t massively into hentai porn. Hentai porn is much like any type of Japanese porn in that, it just feels like gateway porn for pedos that aren’t ready to be massive cunts and look at child porn! The amount of schoolgirls drawn in hentai is crazy and worrying and makes me question what the fuck is going on in Japan! But then I guess Japan has always looked down upon their porn offerings, so the fact that it is seedy as fuck shouldn’t come as a shocked. Anyway, I ain’t here to discuss Japan being all shady and shit, I am here to discuss PixIv and why it is a great site, even though it isn’t actually a porn site at all!

The history of PixIv

PixIv began in 2007, that was when the first beta testing of this site began. It is said that the owner of PixIv got the idea from Flickr and this is really clear if you visit the site. The site is full of little winks and nods to Flickr, that ain’t a bad thing, Flickr is a great site and so if you can copy shit that you like about it and get away with it, more power to ya!

I think the idea of PixIv is to basically be the art version of Flickr like we need any more of those sites knocking about! However, PixIv has sort of turned into a porn site because of the users. As PixIv is a Japanese site (that has excellent language options for the rest of the world too), it was inevitable that PixIv would start seeing sexy images at some point as this seems to be a theme in Japan! In September of 2016, PixIv noted that it had over 43 million submissions of artwork to their site, that is a fucking crazy number. I dunno how much of this artwork could be considered porn or even slightly sexy, but let’s just say half. If half of the artwork on PixIv is in some way sexy (and that probably ain’t too much of a stretch in figures because there is sexy shit everywhere on PixIv) then there is a lot to tickle your pickle to on PixIv!

Over 20 million members on PixIv!

PixIv made a lot of announcements in September of 2016, one being that they had reached over 20 million members on their site. This is a shit load of people that are enjoying the artwork and uploading artwork. I have no idea what the membership numbers for PixIv look like now, but it is probably close to at least 21 million by now, perhaps even 22 million! All my research for this sexy little article just shows that PixIv still has 20 million users, so either they haven’t released any naughty little info about their membership stuff recently, or no cunt has joined this cleverly hidden site since 2016!

I have to say that PixIv has way more users than most sites, but that is, of course, because PixIv isn’t actually a porn site. It is actually an artwork site it just happens to contain some really naughty images drawn by the users! I dunno whether PixIv has some policies on what is allowed on their site, but as it is art perhaps they let a few nipple slips slide? I dunno, but PixIv has some good shit on it!

The art on PixIv

The art that may be considered porn on PixIv is very hentai-based. This ain’t an issue, as most of the members of PixIv, I believe, are Japanese, so they love the schoolgirl shit! Of course, whether the users that upload this artwork are calling it porn or it’s our horny heads making it porn, will always be up for debate. Certainly, though, there are users of PixIv that use this site to advertise their hentai sites with artwork that is less racy than the stuff you’ll find on their site. So, in that regard, PixIv is full of filthy fuckers that are flirting with breaking the rules of PixIv, and I will always respect that shit.

The Geek’s final thoughts on PixIv

I really enjoyed my time on PixIv. I don’t like that you have to be a member of PixIv to look at any of the shit, I think that porn sites, or whatever the fuck PixIv is, that are all locked up and hidden away are a little wank in this day and age, but I guess PixIv can get around that if they are offering this naughty porn shit that they seem to love offering.

Overall, PixIv is a fun little site. There is some amazing artwork on this site that some people have worked damn hard on. Of course, just like any site that allows users to upload their own porn and artwork, PixIv does have some artwork on it that was most likely drawn seconds before the person was put into a coat that had really long arms and buckles on the sleeves that attach behind the back, but other than that, PixIv is a great place to hang out. You will find something to jerk off to on PixIv. While PixIv ain’t a porn site as such, it is a fucking good place for a wank!
