Oh boy – he’s back again and this time, he means business! I am of course talking about Mr. Porn Geek: your favorite reviewer that loves nothing more than trawling all over the Internet for XXX goodies. Today, I bring you a gift – my full, professional opinion on a particular tube website that goes by the name of Porn Maki. I’ve heard good things about this place, but you ought to know by now that I reserve judgment on destinations until I actually get to put my own damn hands on them. First impressions of Porn Maki

Things have to start off on a small negative here: Porn Maki doesn’t have HTTPS enabled and in the current era of online adult entertainment, that’s just not acceptable. SSL/TLS certificates are literally free these days and protect your users against bad actors and governments: there’s a reason why over 90% of the website I review allow you to encrypt your connection! I’d really love to see Porn Maki go ahead and flip on over to HTTPS by the start of 2020: it just makes a lot of sense to do this sooner rather than later. Okay, enough bitching and tech geeking – let’s see what this place has to offer when it comes to the smut.

The Porn Maki homepage

After landing at the homepage, you’ll see that the people behind this hub waste absolutely no time in giving you want you want: instant access to XXX videos. I’d estimate that 80% of the homepage is devoted to showing off preview panes of different scenes and does so based on upload date. This is where I actually start to realize where things may have gone wrong with regard to HTTPS: Porn Maki hasn’t added any new videos to their collection in over 18 months. That really sucks if you’re someone that prefers your porn to be fresh, but yeah – not much we can do about that, is there? The good news is that tube sites rarely succeed because they’ve got a regular flow of new clips: it’s all about the archive size these days!

You’ll notice that in the top right-hand corner, visitors have the ability to sort content at PornMaki.com based on a few different metrics. The first – and most valuable – is the ‘top rated’ link. This, as you can probably tell from the name, orders the uploads based on the user rating of each particular scene. Do note that the system here is smart: it’s not just enough to have a flat 100% rate if you want to be #1: it scales with the popularity of the scene and number of votes cast. What do I mean by this? Well, a video with 2 likes and zero dislikes shouldn’t be put ahead of a video with 90 likes and 5 dislikes, even though the former has a better ‘ratio’ of likes to dislikes. Porn Maki gets around this using some advanced math or something – it’s really quite cool! You’ll also see that you can sort scenes based on length and number of views: I don’t think these bring as much value as the rating link, but you might want to use them instead.

Along the left-hand side of each page, Porn Maki has a list of highly popular categories that you might want to click on. At the bottom of the list, they’ve also put a convenient ‘More’ link so you can see all of the different niches on offer. These include things such as Asian, anal, interracial, group sex, hentai, lesbian, gangbang, pissing and more. There are a few dozen different content preferences and most of them have at least 1,000 videos for you to check out. Hell, some are actually huge – Porn Maki has over 10,000 threesome scenes! The really cool thing here is that you can then sort each category based on all of the metrics I mentioned before, so go ahead and find the top rated teen sex videos or longest MILF scenes – it’s so damn simple to refine your searches here.

Trying some Porn Maki scenes out

Okay, so now’s the time when I actually watch some scenes! I decided to pick out a dozen clips at random and began my adventure with this Remy LaCroix blowjob video. The quality is pretty decent and while it’s not 1080p, it certainly feels like 720p. You’ll notice that porn Maki does have a ‘download’ button but you’ll need to share it via Twitter first or something: pretty bullshit if you ask me. Why can’t I just download my fucking porn video, dude? Stop making me jump through hoops to get the shit I want, especially when I don’t even actually have a personal Twitter account. Who’s sharing their favorite jizz clips on social media anyway? This doesn’t make any sense!

I went and checked the massage section out after the Remy clip and enjoyed the scenes Porn Maki had to offer there too. Overall, I think it’s fair to say that the quality here is around average for tube sites: nothing amazing and very few full 1080p HD clips. This is one area where older sites that no longer update can let visitors down a little: it’s less likely that they’ll have 1080p scenes, since basically all studios are now doing this as standard – if not 4K to prepare for the next decade of smut.

It’s a shame this tube site no longer updates: I was really quite fond of the navigation tools on offer here and found it so easy to get around and grab the content I wanted. Only the lack of new material and download nonsense is keeping me from putting this site much higher on my list – other places might just beat it for the time and being.
