A visit to Shag Story

Howdy friends and welcome to another Mr. Porn Geek review. Today, I’m going to be checking out a spot by the name of Shag Story. The theme here is all text-based, so if you were hoping for naughty videos and pictures, it might be an idea to check out my other reviews instead – this place is devoted to erotic literature and above all else, the most impressive stories out there for hot jerking sessions! I’m hoping that this destination is a ray of sunshine in my life, and after doing a surface-level ocular pat-down, I think it could be relevant to my interests. Anyway, if you’d like to know more, read below and I’ll give you my thoughts and feelings on the whole operation. Should be a good one either way!

The homepage of Shag Story

When hitting the Shag Story homepage, you’ll be presented with a list in the middle of the page that shows you the latest content added to the website. I think this is the best way to organize this type of product – give the people the latest and the greatest, right? The display panes for each erotic story consists of a quick blurb of around 40 words and then around 200 words of the story. These are separated nicely and it’s quite convenient to just scroll down and find what you want. The website does use a tagging system, but not all stories have a decent amount of meta data associated with them for it to be entirely useful. For instance, one I saw was just tagged with “Straight” – it’s like, okay, but what type of a story am I getting my hands on here? Thankfully, a few others have tags such as young, true, lesbian, mature and so on – this gives you a good ability to source the type of smut that you’re after. Everyone knows that niches are everything when it comes to porn stories and this place is doing a good job of providing you with the data you need to get your hands on the literature you want.

Along the left-hand side of the page, you’ll see a number of different tags that you can click on if you know what you’re after. It will then display all of the stories associated with that tag, but they appear to be organized chronologically. They do have a score on the left-hand side which probably reflects the average of the people who have voted, but there’s no way that I can tell to organize these based on the rating. You can manually check each story if you want, but surely the far more convenient method would be seeing how each entry stacks up against the others. Something for Shag Story to consider there – the more sorting tools a website has, the better I feel about it!

Text display on Shag Story

After clicking on an entry, you’ll find what I’d consider to be a really decent text display area. Instead of running from one side of the screen to the other, Shag Story has a small buffer area where all of the text is put to make reading easier. If you’ve ever been on Wikipedia with a large monitor, you’ll know how much of a pain in the ass it is to look through all of the text there and keep focus on it! Oh, and as a little piece of pop trivia: this is why newspapers look the way that they do. It’s optimized so that you can read it as easily as possible! Now while I do like the approach that Shag Story has gone for here with text rendering, I would like for them to include a few options for changing the text size and content containment area – similar to what other erotic literature destinations have done in the past. I’d also like to see more tags become available, because while I think one category is good, you want to be able to mention specific things in the story so that people can find what they want. Examples that spring to mind include things like relationships between the participants (teacher, stepmom, etc.) and various body traits, like BBW, petite, red hair and so on.

The archive size at Shag Story

I won’t mess you around here: there aren’t too many stories that you can read at Shag Story and it doesn’t look like they update all that often with new releases either. In actuality, it seems like the last time a story was added to the database was back in November of 2020 – so it’s been quite a long time since then and there’s a chance that they will no longer put fresh material on the website in the future. This is slightly disappointing, but it may be the case that the person who runs it is taking a break and that they write everything themselves. With such a small collection of stories, it’s hard for me to compare what they have up against the biggest producers and publishers, because a number of competitive services out there in this space are doing pretty stellar work if I’m being completely honest with you. Shag Story could do with a modernization period, but the most important thing here is for them to find somebody to write up a bunch of stories so they can keep the punters interested. Right now, they’re preventing their own success by virtue of the lack of new material. Too bad!

My conclusion on Shag Story

That ought to do it for my review of Shag Story: I’ve probably said enough here to let you know what my thoughts and feelings are. There are certainly things that Mr. Porn Geek can see improvements required for, but if you’re looking for unique sex stories that aren’t available anywhere else, this is a good option for you. I must give them credit for venturing into an uncommon scene and they haven’t done too poorly with their efforts, but I certainly wouldn’t say that this is the best option for sexy stories – not by a long shot.
