X Meets describes itself as a local dating portal for people who are interested in meeting others, having casual hookups and more. The site is currently restricted to men seeking women and women seeking men (no couple option) and the entire process from start to finish in regard to signing up is relatively smooth and painless. Note that you will need to confirm your email address before doing anything extra in here: they want to make sure that everything is above board when you sign up!

The homepage of the site comes with a list of local women (note that they’re not limited to just ‘online’, so some profiles might be days, weeks or even months old), some recent ‘Tweets’ and links to various locations on the site that will help you make contact with people in your area. It’s recommended that you complete your profile before venturing out and contacting people: having a picture, a little about yourself and some additional galleries is always a good way of showing people who you are and what you’re about. I know for a fact that you’re much more likely to get a response from users if you have a completed profile.

X Meets has been around for a while and the interface seems reasonable enough. The Tweet feature is great to see who’s online and up for a good time, although I think most users are based in the United States. If you’re American that’s great, but there might be global platforms more suited for our friends overseas who are seeking casual hookup fun.
